Hernia Surgery
Repair of a hernia - where tissue pushes through a weak spot in the muscle wall of the abdomen or groin, causing a bulge that often aches by the end of the day.
Conditions treated
- Inguinal (groin) hernia
- Umbilical and paraumbilical hernia
- Incisional hernia, at the site of previous surgery
- Hiatal hernia
- Laparoscopic mesh repair wherever it is suitable
Who performs it
Our surgical service is led by Dr. Rashesh Solanki, MS, DNB (GI Surgery), with fellowship training in hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery and liver transplantation at Asan Medical Center, South Korea.
How we decide
Cancer surgery is planned with medical and radiation oncology input rather than in isolation, and wherever a laparoscopic approach gives the same result as an open one, we take it.
